/bra-tah/ - noun - Jamaican word for "extra, a gift, bonus, above expected."
Join us as we celebrate the end of summer with a little something extra! Chef Danya from Lulu's Apron grew up in Jamaica, learning to cook under the watchful eye of her Grandma Lulu. But this is no ordinary Jamaican food: this is a beautiful, deconstructed, elevated version of the island's flavours. Join us for a taste of home at Bullock Lake Farm on September 1st - come hungry!
Dinner starts at 7pm and will include incredible Jamaican-inspired dishes such as:
Salted cod fritters with escovitch puree
Jerk pork with plantain chips, ginger scallion pistou
Oxtail stew with rice and peas
Curried goat patties
Johnny cakes stuffed with ackee with allspice aioli
We'll have sweet treats for dessert as well (rum balls, hibiscus panna cotta, and more).
Tickets are $75, or $90 for dinner with two unique beverage pairings.
Please feel free to BYOB!
